Terms of Service

Last updated: July 25, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Syllogistics, including the website at syllogisticslaw.com and related applications and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Syllogistics provides docket intelligence and case-management tooling for family-law firms. The Service helps authorized firm users organize cases, filings, and related analysis. Syllogistics is a technology provider — not a law firm — and does not provide legal advice.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account.
  • Firm owners and administrators are responsible for managing seats, invites, and access for members of their firm.

3. Firm subscriptions and seats

Access for firm members may be subject to seat limits and invitations managed by the firm owner. Firm owners are responsible for authorizing charges associated with their firm’s payment method and for ensuring that only authorized personnel use the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of professional-conduct rules;
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Service;
  • Reverse engineer or scrape the Service except where applicable law expressly permits;
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • Share access credentials or exceed your firm’s authorized seats;
  • Use the Service to process data you are not authorized to handle.

5. Customer content

You and your firm retain ownership of documents, case data, and other materials you submit (“Customer Content”). You grant Syllogistics a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Content solely as needed to provide and improve the Service for you.

You represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to submit Customer Content, including any client consents required by applicable law or professional rules.

6. AI-assisted and automated features

Some features may use automated processing or AI-assisted analysis to extract information, summarize content, or classify documents. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be reviewed by qualified professionals before reliance. You remain solely responsible for legal strategy, filings, advice, and professional judgments.

7. Payments

Paid features may require a payment method on file. Charges are processed by our payment provider. By authorizing a payment method, the firm owner authorizes Syllogistics to charge that method for firm purchases initiated under the firm’s account, subject to the authorization presented at the time of enrollment. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.

8. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third-party providers for hosting, email, payments, document analysis, and related infrastructure. Your use of those providers’ features may be subject to their terms.

9. Confidentiality

We treat Customer Content as confidential and use it only as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You agree to keep non-public features, credentials, and security details confidential.

10. Intellectual property

Syllogistics and its logos, software, design, and documentation remain our intellectual property (or that of our licensors). Except for the limited rights expressly granted to use the Service, no rights are transferred to you.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANALYSIS OUTPUTS WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYLLOGISTICS AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO SYLLOGISTICS FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

13. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Syllogistics against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your Customer Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk to the Service or other users, fail to pay amounts due, or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction in which Syllogistics operates its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer or professional protections require otherwise.

17. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through our Contact page.
