Syllogistics (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides docket intelligence and case-management tools for family-law firms. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit syllogisticslaw.com, create an account, or use our services.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — such as name, email address, firm affiliation, authentication details, and role within your firm.
- Firm and billing information — such as firm name, seat and invite details, and payment-method metadata processed by our payment provider (for example, card brand and last four digits). We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes on our servers.
- Case and document content — documents, docket entries, filings, notes, and related case data you or your firm upload or generate in the product.
- Usage and technical data — such as log data, device/browser information, IP address, and diagnostic telemetry that help us operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Communications — messages you send through our contact form or support channels.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Syllogistics;
- Authenticate users, manage firm seats, and administer accounts;
- Process documents and generate analysis features you request;
- Process payments and prevent fraud;
- Send service-related notices (for example, email confirmation, password reset, and seat invitations);
- Respond to inquiries and provide support;
- Monitor security, diagnose issues, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us host, process, email, store, analyze, or bill for the service (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and document-analysis providers), under contractual obligations to protect the data;
- Your firm administrators, who may manage seats, billing, and firm settings;
- Legal and safety recipients, when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Syllogistics, our users, or others;
- Successors, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
4. Case data and confidentiality
Syllogistics is built for professional use by law firms. Case files and related content are treated as confidential customer data. Access is limited to authorized users within your firm and to systems and personnel needed to operate the service. You remain responsible for obtaining any client authorizations required under applicable professional-conduct rules before uploading client information.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, and core product functionality. We do not use advertising trackers on the product today.
6. Data retention
We retain account, firm, and case information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, and security requirements. When you delete content or close an account, we remove or de-identify associated data within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or needed to resolve disputes.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted transport. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
Depending on your role and applicable law, you may be able to:
- Update profile and firm settings in the product;
- Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you;
- Ask your firm administrator to manage firm-owned case data and seats.
